WILMINGTON — Salisbury’s Juke Harris and West Rowan’s Lauren Arnold are on the North Carolina All-Star teams for Saturday’s Carolinas Classic.

This is the basketball version of the Shrine Bowl, top seniors from both states, and is played at Hoggard High in Wilmington.

The event is hosted by the North Carolina Coaches Association and South Carolina Athletic Coaches and benefits charity.

The North Carolina boys roster is loaded with talent, including Salisbury’s Juke Harris, a Wake Forest recruit.

Harris’ teammates will include Duke recruit Isaiah Evans (North Meck), who is generally considered the state’s top senior. The North Carolina team also has Myers Park’s Sir Mohammed (Notre Dame) and Bishop Boswell (Tennessee) and Central Cabarrus twins Carson and Chase Daniel, who are Catawba recruits.

Enka’s Brian Carver will coach the North Carolina squad.

The North Carolina girls squad doesn’t have as much star power as the boys, but it will feature some talented players such as Cape Fear’s Jayda Angel (Elon), who averaged 34 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, Wake Forest High’s Audra Hillman and Mallard Creek’s Lili Booker.

Mars Hill recruit Lauren Arnold, a West Rowan forward who has been MVP of two 3A state championship games, will be counted on by the N.C. squad.

Tickets are online for $10 for adults and $5 for children and students.

The girls game will start at 3 p.m., with the boys game to follow.
