Man charged with murder in April shooting on E Lafayette Street

SALISBURY — Police have charged a local man with the murder of Jonathan Elijah Ijames following his death in a fatal shooting on the 900 block E. Lafayette Street on April 26.

Salisbury Police have obtained second-degree murder warrants for the arrest of Reginald Dean Oglesby Jr., 21, of Salisbury.

Ijames, 30, whose address is listed as the streets of Salisbury, was identified as the person who was shot multiple times and died at the scene. Ijames was most recently was living at the Lafayette Street Apartment complex where the shooting occurred, said spokesman Lt. Lee Walker.

Other victims in the shooting include Kyshawn Quandar Robinson, 23, of Arrowood Road, who was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following the shooting and a male who was treated for a gunshot wound and released from Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville. Oglesby was also treated and released from Davis Regional Medical Center following the shooting.
