Extracurricular activities: Secretary of the Salisbury Youth Council, emergency room and front desk volunteer for Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Youth Services Bureau’s Rowan County Teen Court volunteer.
Advice to freshman: “You only have four years of high school, so do everything that you possibly can in those years. Try all kinds of different activities and sports, be involved and push yourself. Don’t let other people discourage you from taking difficult classes or trying new things. Also, even if you are unathletic, join a team because you will become very close to your teammates and coach.”
Favorite high school memory: Running through a foot of mud during cross country regionals sophomore year, then taking pictures with the team afterwards as we were all covered in mud.
Proudest high school moment: Placing first and second place at the North Carolina State Fair for baked goods and winning 11 awards for baked goods at the Rowan County Fair.
If I had $10 million, I would: Pay for college, pay off any debts, donate to charity and my community, put some in savings, and THEN I would travel the world, buy a new car, and build a recording studio.

Advice to freshmen: “Don’t be afraid to try new things. Whether it’s a class you’ve never heard of, a club you think sounds fun, or an extracurricular activity that’s starting up, you just might find a new passion.”
Favorite high school memory: Performing in the Nutcracker ballet.
Proudest high school moment: Earning valedictorian.
If I had $10 million: I would pay for Duke’s tuition, start a charity and then buy a Ferrari.
