Kannapolis man charged in marijuana, cocaine bust

A Kannapolis man was in Rowan County jail Wednesday after Kannapolis Police said he had marijuana and cocaine.
According to a Kannapolis Police report, officers received a tip about possible drug activity at a Locust Street home. After an initial investigation, they found that Cameron Hancock, 425 Village Park Road, was believed to be at the residence. He was wanted in Rowan County for an outstanding failure to appear warrant.
Authorities found Hancock at the home and, after searching him, found .05 ounces of crack cocaine, along with .11 ounces of marijuana in his possession.
The 25-year-old was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, and failure to appear.
Hancock was given a $5,205 bond. He was in jail Wednesday afternoon.
