Rowan weather: Getting warmer

Have you noticed the days getting longer? It’s great to have more light.

The cold temperatures have not left us yet, though. The last two mornings have dipped down into the 20s. Well, it looks like we’re in for a slight change.

Today will be sunny with a high of 52 and south winds at 5-10 mph this morning. Tonight, clouds move in with a low of 40.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 64 and southwest wind at 6-9 mph. The low will be 43.

Sunday will have a 20 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 67. Wind from the southwest will pick up to 5-9 mph in the afternoon. The chance of rain increases to 30 percent Sunday night, with a low of 49.

The new week will start off with a 50 percent chance of showers, cloudy skies and a high near 59. Rain is likely after midnight, with a low of 41 and a 60 percent chance of precipitation.

More rain is likely Tuesday, with a 70 percent chance of precipitation and a high of 45. The same chance of rain continues Tuesday night with a low of 38.

Wednesday will be pretty much the same, with showers, and a high of 48. The chance of rain drops to 30 percent Wednesday night, with a low of 30.

Thursday, the sun should return with a high near 50.
