LANDIS ó A new Family Dollar has opened in Landis at 1545 S. Main St. The storeís address is China Grove, but itís located in the town limits of Landis.
Family Dollar opened Nov. 3 and will host a grand opening Saturday, featuring N.C. Rep. Fred Steen cutting the official ribbon.
The district manager is Brandy Greene, and the store manager is Alex Esparza.
Rick Register and Joe Strickland with Premier Builders & Development Inc. constructed the new Family Dollar and are developing five additional locations in North and South Carolina and Georgia.
The Landis store will serve area residents and bring several new jobs to southern Rowan County, Strickland said.
The Landis project started in early June and consists of an 8,000-square-foot building and a parking lot for 25 cars.
