Tardiness leads to drugs

SALISBURY ó Tardiness led to a felony drug charge at Henderson High School on Monday, police say.
According to Salisbury Police, a 15-year-old was charged after school officials found 3 grams of marijuana in four separate bags.
Police said students at the high school go through metal detectors as they enter the building, but late students are patted down.
When officials asked the teenager to empty his pockets, he carefully pulled a scarf from his back pocket, along with other items, before being patted down. The official then checked the scarf and found .11 ounces of marijuana.
The studentís name was not released by police. The report said the case will be handled in juvenile court.
