A Salisbury man was arrested Saturday night after he was found with 3.4 grams of marijuana in smoked roaches (a clip that holds a marijuana cigarette) in his car, police reported today.
Saturday around 9:30 p.m. Officer A.D. Safrit was sitting in his patrol car around the 1000 block of North Long Street, when he saw a car pass another car on double yellow lines. He turned on his blue lights, but the car kept going and traveled more than a half mile before pulling over.
The driver, Deantonio Ne’Shad Mattison, was driving with a suspended license, so Safrit arrested him and searched the car, where he reportedly found numerous smoked roaches.
Mattison, 23, of 512 Plymouth Ave., was charged with felony fleeing to elude arrest and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was given a $5,000 secured bond.
