Livingstone’s men’s basketball team lost 84-79 to Barry on Saturday in a game played in the Marriott Classic in Boca Raton, Fla.
Sophomore Eric Dubose had 18 of his 22 points in the second half but fouled out in the final minute.
Mark Thomas scored 21. His flurry of late 3s almost pulled the game out for the Blue Bears (7-2), who went 2-2 on their Florida trip.
Jody Hill added 14 points, and Eric Mayo scored 10.
Juan Ferrales scored 30 for unbeaten Barry (9-0) and made six 3-pointers.

Catawba’s men’s basketball team lost 79-59 to Limestone on Saturday afternoon in Gaffney, S.C.
P.J. Foster made nine 3s and scored 33 points for the Saints, and Jamal McNeill pulled down 17 rebounds.
Limestone (9-3) built a 14-point halftime lead, and the Indians (2-7) were unable to make a run. Catawba shot 33.3 percent in the first half and 35.4 for the game.
Kijuan Arrington scored 17 for Catawba (2-7), while Troy Warren had 10. Elon Edwards had five assists.

David Tripp scored 24 points and Greg Joyner added 13 as A.L. Brown’s boys beat Robinson 72-68 Friday for their first MECKA 8 win.
Freshman Lavar Batts had 20 for the Bulldogs, and Jordan McKenzie scored 17.
• Peyton Sell and Holden Poole scored 14 points each for Davie’s boys in a 91-54 loss to Page on Friday.
Davie’s boys (1-8) are seeded seventh for the Christmas tournament and take on No. 2 West Rowan in Thursday’s 7:30 p.m. game.
• Freshman Ashlyn Hampton scored 19 for Davie’s girls in a 38-33 loss to Page. Davie’s girls (3-5) are the No. 6 seed for the Christmas tournament and take on No. 3 South Rowan in the 3 p.m. game on Thursday.
• Tyler Grooms scored 18 points and led West Davidson’s boys to a 56-47 victory against Central Davidson on Friday.

China Grove’s girls trailed by 10 at halftime but rallied to win 23-21 against Mooresville. Ann Turney had 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Red Devils. Riley Corriher scored seven points, and Montana Gurganious had six points and 10 rebounds.
Taylor Callen scored 10 for the Imps.
• Salisbury Academy’s varsity girls won 31-18 against Community School of Davidson. Maria Capito led the Jaguars with 12 points, and Anna Louise Lewis had 10. Ellen Simons had seven.
• Salisbury Academy’s varsity boys (6-5) beat Winston-Salem Christian 37-32. Ben Coulter had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Sam Combs scored nine points. Malik Holmes had 15 rebounds and eight blocks.
• Salisbury Academy’s varsity boys won 28-27 against St. John’s. Matthew Pickens hit the game-winning shot. Coulter had 17 points and 16 rebounds, and Sam Combs scored seven.
