Spencer man tries to defeat drug test with urine-filled condom

A probation officer, who was required to monitor Camps, saw that he pulled something from his front pocket. Camps had a condom filled with “clean” urine. Camps was charged with violating his probation and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Camps has been convicted of reckless driving, accessory after the fact, drug possession, simple assault, driving while impaired, communicating threats, driving while license revoked, all of which are felonies. He’s also been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and common law robbery.
