Novant Health is inviting the community to attend screenings of “Resilience,” a documentary film about how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can impact a person’s physical and mental health later in life.

The film will be shown this Friday noon02 p.m. ad 5-7 p.m., and March 13, noon-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Linn Classroom.

Researchers have discovered toxic stress can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children, putting them at greater risk for disease, homelessness, prison time and early death.
