Blotter: Suspicious vehicle leads to citations for drugs

SALISBURY — Two people were issued citations recently after law enforcement received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked in an area in Rockwell.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office cited Shaina Elizabeth Satt Smith, 26, for simple possession of a Schedule IV substance and Allen Wayne Overman, 58, for simple possession of a Schedule IV substance and misdemeanor resist, obstruct, delay an officer.

The pair were at Old Beatty Ford Road and Wind Swept Way on April 5.

• Andy’s Auto Sales Inc. reported on Friday someone stole a vehicle from the business, 2325 South U.S. 29, China Grove.

• A woman reported on Friday someone stole her pressure washer from her property in the 200 block of Greenway Drive.

• A man reported on Friday someone tried to steal his vehicle from the 5200 block of Grandeur Drive.

• A man reported on Saturday he was a victim of vandalism while in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive.

• A woman reported on Saturday she was a victim of fraud while in the 400 block of Atwell Road, Mount Ulla.

• A man reported on Saturday someone stole his belongings from his vehicle while parked in the 300 block of Leach Road.

• A woman reported on Saturday items were stolen from her vehicle in the 2200 block of Woodcrest Drive, Kannapolis.

• A woman reported on Saturday she was the victim of an assault while in the 200 block of Susan Lane.

• A man reported on Saturday there was a vandalism incident related to a family disturbance in the 5900 block of Stokes Ferry Road.

• A traffic stop Sunday at Campbell and Woodleaf roads yielded a driver with a marijuana citation.

• A man reported on Sunday a verbal argument occurred and someone broke a window on his property in the 3800 block of Needmore Road, Woodleaf.

• Two women got into a physical altercation on Sunday in the 2200 block of Sherrills Ford Road.

• Sherri Diane Brown, 17, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor by helping a 15-year-old boy run away from the 100 block of Panther Point Trail, Richfield.

• Gabriel Lee Pittman, 35, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor resist, delay, obstruct an officer while at Miller Road and West N.C. 152, China Grove.

• Marcus Adam Dipietro, 27, was charged on Friday with habitual felon while in the Rowan County jail.

• Justin Dale Wallace, 27, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor assault on a female while in the 5900 of Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell.

• Ricky Delane Burris, 37, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor assault on a female while in the 800 block of N.C. 153, China Grove.

• Gina Marie Kelly, 54, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia while in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive.

• William John Hohenstein, 47, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor injury to personal property while in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive.

• William Allen Smith, 44, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor assault on a female while in the 200 block of Susan Lane.

• Prasanna Ragittle Fernando, 43, was charged on Saturday with felony larceny of a motor vehicle while in the 1600 block of North Main St., China Grove.

• Tony Douglas Rimer, 59, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor assault on a female while in the 3800 block of Cauble Road.

• Luz A. Yanez, 39, was charged on Sunday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 100 block of Pinnacle Drive.

• Raequan Gibson, 19, was charged on Sunday with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia while in the 7000 block of Woodleaf and Campbell roads.

• Elliott Rudolph Wilds, 20, was charged on Sunday with misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor injury to personal property while in the 3800 block of Needmore Road, Woodleaf.

• Amy Michelle Lovell, 47, was charged on Sunday with misdemeanor affray/fighting while in the 2200 block of Sherrills Ford Road.

• Judith Elaine Manning, 62, was charged on Sunday with misdemeanor affray/fighting while in the 2200 block of Sherrills Ford Road.

• Matthew Tyler Parks, 26, was charged on Sunday with misdemeanor assault on a female while in the 600 block of South Fulton and West Thomas streets.

• Katelyn Gail Russell, 22, was charged on Sunday with felony possession of a controlled substance Schedule II while at Sides Road and U.S. 52, Rockwell.

• Michael Paul Hicks, 45, was charged on Sunday with felony possession of a controlled substance Schedule II while at Sides Road and U.S. 52, Rockwell.

• Erin Ashley Ellis, 34, was charged on Sunday with felony fugitive from justice while in the 200 block of Overlook Drive.

In Salisbury Police Department reports:

• A woman reported on Monday someone used her credit card to get cash from an ATM while she was in the 900 block of Laurel Pointe Circle.

• A man reported on Monday someone stole his belongings from his vehicle that was parked in the 100 block of Mahaley Avenue.

• A woman reported on Monday she was assaulted while in the 1300 block of North Long Street.

• Romano’s Restaurant reported on Monday someone used a counterfeit bill while at the business, 1510 W. Innes St.

• A woman reported on Monday she was the victim of an assault while in the 2300 block of Enon Church Road and Magnolia Drive.

• A woman reported on Monday a larceny occurred at Christo’s Family Restaurant, 431 E. Innes St.

• A report of shots fired was made on Monday in the intersection of East Horah and South Shaver streets.
