November Power in Partnership speaker to be N.C. economic development chairman

SALISBURY — Frank Emory will be the speaker at the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce Power in Partnership breakfast Nov. 15.

Emory is chairman of the board of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.

He is also co-head of the litigation and labor group and a managing partner of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP in Charlotte. He also practices at the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.

Emory was an Angier B. Duke Scholar at Duke University and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law on a Morehead Law Fellowship.

He began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Charles Becton of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. 

He was first elected partner at the firm of Chambers Ferguson Watt Wallace Atkins & Fuller in Charlotte. In 1990, Emory joined Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson as a partner in the litigation section. He joined Hunton Andrews Kurth in 2001 as a partner.

The PIP breakfast will be at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 15 at Trinity Oaks.
