Rowan’s Next Big Idea Pitch contest will be held Saturday in two “Shark Tank”-style sessions.

The first session, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon, will feature six teams of South Rowan High School students.

The second, which will run from 1 to 4 p.m., will feature Rowan County residents who submitted applications pitching their business ideas.

Winners from each session will win prizes. First-place winners will win $1,000; second-place winners will win $500; and third-place winners will win $250.

Krispy Kreme and Chick-Fil-A products will be served.

The contest is open to the public and will be held at the Rowan IDEA Center in West End Plaza.
