No brainer: Here’s a plan for automakers’ bailout
The “Big Three” automakers asking for a “bailout” to keep them in business?
Go to the bank … DUH … We taxpayers just gave the banks $150 billion, and the latest audit says they aren’t making any loans with it. They will loan you right up, man!

Another solution
Plain and simple:
Why not have big oil to bail out the supposedly broke automakers?
They’re the ones that broke them, and without the automakers, what good are the oil companies? Besides, they’re the ones that have made all of the money in the last couple of years. The amount of greed in the world is appalling and a downright sin.

Too early for ‘Housewives’
Regarding the Nov. 3 editorial “Kids learn from adults”:
Not only do kids learn from what adults do, they also learn from what adults don’t, but should, do.
Case in point: Channel 64 airing reruns of “Desperate Housewives” at 7 p.m. on Sundays ó a time when most school-age kids are still up and watching TV. This is irresponsible on the part of Channel 64, for it gives kids the impression that having extramarital affairs is the norm.
Channel 64 should quit airing this show during this time slot. If it doesn’t, then parents should prevent their kids from watching it, and at the same time, explaining to their kids that behavior like that portrayed on the show is immoral.
