Jamal Crawford scored 18 points for the Knicks, who avoided the first 60-loss season in franchise history.
Jason Richardson scored 25 points, and Raymond Felton and Emeka Okafor had 24 apiece for the Bobcats, whose franchise-record four-game road winning streak was snapped.

CLEVELANDó LeBron James played with his aching back and the Cleveland Cavaliers rallied for a much-needed win that kept them two games ahead of Washington for homecourt advantage.
James, who didnít practice Monday and Tuesday because of back spasms, scored 33 points as the Cavaliers overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat the New Jersey Nets 104-83.
Wizards 109, Celtics 95
WASHINGTON ó Antawn Jamison returned from a shoulder injury to score 27 points and help Washington beat Boston to win the season series over the leagueís top team.
Gilbert Arenas, in his third game back from knee surgery, added 13 points.
Paul Pierce scored 28 points, and Kevin Garnett had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Celtics, who had 21 turnovers and have more or less been in exhibition mode since clinching the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Hornets 122, Tíwolves 90
MINNEAPOLIS ó Chris Paul had 19 points and 16 assists to help New Orleans bounce back from an ugly loss by beating Minnesota.
Peja Stojakovic scored 24 points and David West had 22 for the Hornets.
Rashad McCants had 23 for the Timberwolves, who have lost six straight.
The win gave the West-leading Hornets a franchise-best 55 wins, beating the record set in 1996-97.

PHILADELPHIAó Andre Iguodala scored 25 points, hitting a season-high four 3-pointers to help Philadelphia defeat Detroit.
Samuel Dalembert added 20 points and 13 rebounds for Philadelphia and Iguodala had six assists, five rebounds and five steals.
The victory kept the Sixers in the sixth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, a game ahead of Toronto.
Chauncey Billups had 18 points to lead Detroit.

ORLANDO, Fla. ó Dwight Howard had 30 points and 14 rebounds for Orlando.
Howard recorded his NBA-leading 67th double-double, one short of Shaquille OíNealís franchise record from the
1992-93 season.

HOUSTON ó Rafer Alston scored 18 points and Luis Scola added 13 points and 12 rebounds to help Houston beat Seattle.
Kevin Durant scored 26, Nick Collison had 15 rebounds and Earl Watson added 16 points and eight assists for the Sonics, whoíve lost seven straight meetings with Houston.
