New person of interest named in Bost shooting death

Police originally said they were looking for a Jamarius Sharod Fortson, but then sent out an announcement saying that information was incorrect, and they are looking for Rache Fortson, listed below.  

SALISBURY — Police are looking for Rache Jamal Fortson, 26, of 153 Red Pine Road, Gold Hill, as a person of interest in the shooting death of Demareo O’Bryan Bost on the night of Feb. 17.

Salisbury police officers were called to 312 Oakwood Ave. for a domestic situation at 10:16 p.m. Feb. 17. While en route, officers learned that shots had been fired and CPR was being performed on a victim.

Police say Demareo O’Bryan Bost, 28, of East Spencer, died at the scene.

On Tuesday, police named Tasman Jamal Stockdale, 27, of Salisbury, as a person of interest. According to his mother, Sonji Stockdale, he went to the police station, talked with investigators and left. No warrant was issued.
