Executives from chambers of commerce across the Carolinas will converge on Salisbury in April .

The Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives picked Salisbury for its annual management conference April 26-28. The conference will draw more than 120 people.

The organization was formed in 1994 when the North Carolina and South Carolina associations merged. It now serves chambers of commerce in both states.

During the conference in Salisbury, participants will hear from national and regional speakers on best practices for chambers. The conference will allow time for participants to visit local attractions and restaurants.

Conference attendees will hold meetings at the Historic Salisbury Depot and stay at the Courtyard by Marriott and the newly opened Holiday Inn Express.

“We are so excited about having the chamber executives from both North and South Carolina in our community,” said Rowan County Chamber of Commerce President Elaine Spalding. “This is a great group of individuals to have in town. They have access to business leaders across the Carolinas and can share information about Salisbury and Rowan County to their member firms.”

The Rowan County Chamber and the Convention and Visitors Bureau have been working together for several years to bring the conference here, a news release said.
