The Electric City DBC Sectional bridge Tournament will be held in Anderson, S.C. Feb. 22-24. The playing site is the Anderson Recreation Center, 1107 N. Murray Ave. Details are in the January District 7 News.
Betsy Bare and Myrtle Brandon of Concord placed first in the weekly duplicate game last Tuesday evening at the Salisbury Woman’s Club.
Other winners were: Becky Creekmore and Marie Pugh tied with Phoebe Beard and Billy Burke for second; Gloria Bryant and June Evans, fourth.

The Creekmore/Pugh pair played a four hearts contract, making six, for the best N/S score on this deal.
Myrnie and John McLaughlin had the top E/W score. Their N/S opponents bid two no trumps, making three.
In the Evergreen Club’s Feb. 8 duplicate game the John McLaughlins were high overall and first E/W. Jane Cutrell and Lucy Brown were the top N/S pair.
Other winners were: N/S ó Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh, second; Betty Bonner and Clyde Steele, third. E/WóRoslind and Hall Steele, second; Jean and Loren Parkinson, third.
