Paige “Wayne” Trexler

SALISBURY – Mr. Paige “Wayne” Trexler, 67, of Salisbury died Saturday, January 13, 2007 while on a fishing trip in Nags Head.

Born February 3, 1939 in Rowan County, Mr. Trexler was the son of the late J.P. and Alma Coble Trexler. He was a 1957 graduate of Rockwell High School, He was a brick mason contractor for 20 years with his father and brother. He retired from West Rowan High School as a brick masonry teacher in 2004.

Mr. Trexler was a life member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and was on the church council and was the Sunday School Secretary. He was a member of Keller Masonic Lodge #657 and the Rowan County Shrine Club. He loved fishing, fish fries, friends and family.

He is survived by wife Brenda Holshouser Trexler whom he married September 19, 1959, son Corey Trexler and wife Tanya of Salisbury, daughters Donna Maners and husband Randy of Salisbury, and Crystal Nesbitt and husband Larry of Salisbury, five grandchildren: Zachary Nesbitt, Lacey Maners, Lindsey Maners, Sydney Trexler and Kinley Trexler, brother Jake Trexler of Salisbury, sisters Bobbie Lyerly of Salisbury, and Bonnie Basinger of Rockwell.

Service: 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 16, at St. Peters Lutheran Church with Rev. David Ridenhour, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday, January 15, 7-8:30 at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, and will be at the residence the remainder of the time.
