Mambo Grill and Tapas opens Mambo Express

Mambo Grill and Tapas at 122 E. Fisher St. now has an option for those who want a quick bite to eat.

Mambo Express is a takeout window at the restaurant that will offer pastries, stuffed potatoes, empanadas, coffee, tropical shakes and Cuban sandwiches.

Ariella Sanchez, owner of the restaurant, said she has always wanted to open a window area for quick service. She said Mambo Express will be great for people on their lunch break and businesses looking to cater lunch events.

Sanchez said the food will still be made fresh.

The window is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and reopens again at 5 p.m. until business winds down.

A grand opening for Mambo Express will be on Aug. 5. Sanchez said since they are offering new products, she wants the community to be able to try the items. Free pastry samples will be available at the event.

“We believe the best way to get to know it is to try our food,” she said.

Miller Davis named international marketing agency for German Company

Miller Davis Agency of Salisbury has been named the international marketing agency for Elbtal Plastics GMBH & CO. KG, based in Coswig, Germany, according to an announcement by Michael Schumann, CEO and president of Elbtal Plastics.

Elbtal Plastics’ core business is swimming pool membranes, or liners, and the company is a global leader in the production of 60 mil membranes. These membranes, manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in Coswig, are an alternative to concrete, when resurfacing leaking, cracked pools.

Made of only virgin raw materials, the membranes last twice as long as the competition.

Previously, Miller Davis functioned as the sales and marketing arm of Elbtal of America, a division of Elbtal Plastics, selling exclusively as poolFORCE in North and South America through a dealer/distributor network of certified pool professionals. The company serves both the commercial public pool and residential pool markets.

“Miller Davis understands the pool business and has the marketing experience and creativity to drive our business into new markets,” said Schumann.

Mike Miller, president of Miller Davis, said, “We are excited to expand the Miller Davis relationship with Elbtal and to work on international marketing strategies to extend Elbtal’s presence in the world.”

Elbtal Plastics does business in Europe as ELBE blue LINE, with pool resurfacing projects at small, luxurious properties and at massive public aquatic facilities.
