Local Harley-Davidson Dealership recognized
Tilley Harley-Davidson of Salisbury was awarded with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Recognition Award for the 2015 calendar year. Tilley Harley-Davidson of Salisbury earned the Bronze Circle of Recognition award for the Mid-Atlantic market based on its motorcycle and related sales performance, an evaluation of customer service and satisfaction and various operational measures.
“We’re really proud to have Robinette and Derek Tilley as part of the Harley-Davidson family and want to thank the entire dealership team for all they do in fulfilling the dreams of personal freedom for our customers,” said Christian Walters, Harley-Davidson’s managing director for the U.S.

Tilley Harley-Davidson has been a long-time business in the Salisbury community and has received several Bar & Shield awards in the past years.
RE/MAX Leading Edge employee wins Hall of Fame Award
Jayne Helms, with RE/MAX Leading Edge, has been presented with the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award. A Salisbury resident and active member of the community, Helms entered the real estate
profession as Rookie of the Year more than 13 years ago, and has extensive experience in commercial, residential and historic real estate. In addition to diligently serving her clients, Helms has served numerous volunteer and professional organizations. Helms’ personal mission statement is “to bring integrity, knowledge and professionalism to all of my clients and transactions. It is my desire to do an excellent job for my clients, and give them the best experience possible while partnering with them to achieve their real estate goals.”Helms has been recognized as the individual office leader in closed transactions for five of the last six years. According to the Carolina Multiple Listing Service, Helms is one of the highest producing real estate professionals in her market place.
Promed Healthcare welcomes new doctor
Dr. Umpai Poopat has recently joined Promed Healthcare. Her speciality is family medicine and she is taking new patients and accepting most insurances.
Dr. Poopat graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM). She received her Bachelors of Science in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Michigan.
Promed Healthcare, PLLC provides Occupational Medicine, Worker’s Compensation, Primary Care and Urgent Care services, and is open for extended hours seven days per week.

Food Lion honors Kim Rollins with store manager excellence award

Food Lion has awarded Kim Rollins with its 2015 Central Division Store Manager Excellence Award. Rollins, who is the store manager of the Food Lion located at 8118 Blair Road in Charlotte, accepted the award recently among her peers at the corporate office in Salisbury.

“For my team, this award shows associates that hard work and dedication really does pay off,” Rollins said. “You must have the passion to serve people, our customers and our community just treat everyone the same way you want to be treated.”

Additionally to honor Rollins, Food Lion through Food Lion Feeds donated $1,000 in her store’s name to Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina in Charlotte. The donation was made because of Rollins’ leadership and commitment to the community.

Rollins has worked with Food Lion for the past 22 years. She is a respected leader in her community and looked at as a leader among her peers. Rollins is married and resides in Charlotte. She has a son who also works for Food Lion.

“Kim’s leadership and expectations have created a culture of high performance with her associates,” said Dave Bass, central division vice president for Food Lion. “She cross trains and develops associates consistently which helps promote them to fill critical positions within the region.”
