CARRBORO (AP) ó Elizabeth Edwards is hosting a round-table discussion on the health care plan being promoted by Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
The Center for American Progress Action Fund is preparing to release a report, saying how the McCain health care plan would increase the burden on middle-class families in North Carolina.
Edwards is a senior fellow at the center. The discussion is scheduled for Wednesday in Carrboro.
The wife of former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards is battling a recurrence of breast cancer that returned last year in an incurable form.
Edwards has started filling her public schedule since coming out of seclusion earlier this month. She remains quiet about her husbandís affair but has been vocal about the nationís need for health care reform.
