The annual homecoming at Historic St. George’s Episcopal Church, Woodleaf, will be held Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m. with a reception after the service.

The service will be conducted by Father Gus Chrysson, priest at the Church of the Ascension in Fork.

He grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem and attended New York University, Columbia University and Virginia Theological Seminary. He served at St. Mary’s in High Point before getting the call to Ascension.

St. George’s was affiliated with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church built in 1840 and was established as a separate parish in 1906.
