In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 600 block of South Ellis Street between 12:05 a.m. and 2 a.m. on April 2. The total estimated loss was $200.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 700 block of Laurel Pointe Circle between 9 p.m. on April 1 and 6:22 a.m. on April 2.
  • A sexual assault occurred in the 200 block of Bethel Drive at 1 a.m. on April 19, 2023. It was reported on April 2.
  • Fraud by impersonation occurred in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue between 10 a.m. on Feb. 11 and 10:23 a.m. on April 1. It was reported on April 2.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of Laurel Pointe Circle between 10 p.m. on April 1 and 11:30 a.m. on April 2.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the first block of Kesler Street at 12:20 p.m. on April 2. The total estimated loss was $200.
  • A larceny of a bicycle occurred in the 200 block of North Long Street between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on April 2. The total estimated loss was $300.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 2100 block of Statesville Boulevard between 7:30 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. on April 2. The total estimated loss was $9.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 800 block of South Jackson Street between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on April 2.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 200 block of West Horah Street at 8:30 p.m. on April 2.
  • Discharging of a firearm occurred in the 900 block of East Lafayette Street at 8:45 p.m. on April 2.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • Resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer occurred at Nicholas Run at 3:57 p.m. on April 1.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred at South Enochville Avenue at 2 p.m. on April 1.
  • Shoplifting occurred at Tingle Drive between 5:55 p.m. on March 28 and 8 a.m. on April 1.
  • Vandalism and trespassing occurred at Weaver Road at 3:09 p.m. on April 1.
  • Shoplifting occurred at Tingle Drive between 8:15 p.m. on March 29 and 7 a.m. on April 1.
  • Heather Lynn Horne, 33, was charged with simple assault on April 1.
  • Nimely Davis, 24, was charged with assault on a government official on April 1.
  • Mark Hayward Gales Jr., 31, was charged with driving while impaired on April 1.
  • Joshua Lee Putman, 38, was charged with simple assault on April 1.
  • John Allen Wagoner, 58, was charged with failure to notify of a change of address on April 1.
  • Kiara Jade Mora-Branham, 22, was charged with fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, resisting a public officer, assault on a government official, driving while her license was revoked, driving without insurance and failure to stop at a stop sign on April 1. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that Mora-Branham was served with warrants out of Forsyth County while she was in Superior Court in Rowan County.
  • Ashley Lynn Bynum, 36, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and selling or delivering a schedule II controlled substance on April 1.
  • Justin Leigh Carter, 33, was charged with assault on a female and a crime of domestic violence on April 1.
