Rowan Chamber Minority Business Trade Show coming on April 25

SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Minority Business Trade Show will be held on April 25, 4-7 p.m., at Livingstone College Hospitality Center, located at 530 Jake Alexander Blvd., Salisbury.

“We had over 500 attendees and 47 vendor booths for the first event and we expect even more this year,” said Ralph Young, the Minority Business Trade Show chairman. “We are so excited to showcase our locally owned minority businesses. Our goal is to encourage major employers to increase the percentage of business they do with a diverse group of entrepreneurs.”

Sponsors to date at the Silver level are: F & M Bank, Livingstone College, Salisbury Post; and, at the Bronze level: Atrium Health, Catawba College, Duke Energy, The Forum, Gegorek & Associates Realty, Hood Theological Seminary, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, City of Salisbury, Self-Help Credit Union, Stowe Law Firm, PLLC, Trinity Oaks/Lutheran Service Carolinas, Unlock Me Bail Bonds.

The schedule for the day: 

• Noon – Sponsor/exhibitor set up

• 4 p.m. – Exhibit Hall doors open

•  Chamber ribbon cutting

•  City of Salisbury Small Business Grant announcement

• 5 p.m. — Mix and mingle with appetizers, drinks, music and door prizes

• 7 p.m. — Close

The Minority Business Trade Show will be the Rowan Chamber’s largest networking event. It is a business-to-business expo with valuable business connections made among the participants. Several of the booths will offer valuable door prizes in addition of a grand prize at the end of the evening. Food and refreshments will be available.
