High school girls soccer roundup: Hornets get CCC win

SALISBURY — Maddie Crabb and Addie Griffith scored two goals each as Salisbury beat South Davidson 5-0 in a Central Carolina Conference match on Monday.

The Hornets (3-2-1, 2-1) also got a goal from Stephany Quintero.

Assists were by Crabb, Griffith, Leslie Silva, Cora Wymbs and Lola Koontz.

Stella Koontz, Lola Koontz, Meredith Williams, Mariana Zapata and Luna Nunez led the defense. Keeper Taylor Brown recorded the clean sheet for the Hornets in her first  first career start.

THOMASVILLE — East Davidson (6-2, 2-0) rolled 10-1 against North Rowan (0-7, 0-3) on Monday as it prepared for Tuesday’s CCC matchup with Salisbury.

INDIAN TRAIL — Undefeated Sun Valley (10-0) cruised to a 10-1 non-conference win against Carson (0-5) on Monday.

Seven different players had goals for the Spartans.

ASHEBORO – East Rowan lost 7-0 to Asheboro on Monday in a non-conference match.

Jaira Arellano had a hat trick to lead the Blue Comets.
