Closings, cancellations and postponements March 19 and beyond

Webb Road Flea Market is temporarily suspending operations, effective immediately, in response to coronavirus/COVID-19 public health concerns.  It will remain closed to the public until government and health officials determine it can safely reopen and welcome vendors and customers once again.  

F&M Bank Offices will be Drive-Thru only beginning March 23.

• Effective today, State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) branches statewide will temporarily transition to drive-through only for the majority of its services. Members who need to access safe deposit boxes, drop off tax return information, or inquire about a loan should call the branch to schedule an appointment. SECU remains open for business to make loans, take deposits and provide other financial services.

• The Salisbury Public Art Committee has cancelled March 30, 11 a.m., at One Water Street.

• The Tower of Power Usher’s Ministry soup kitchen will be closed until October of 2020.

• The Rowan One Church One Child Ministry Assistance Center will be closed beginning today.

• Historic Salisbury Foundation’s Annual Meeting is postponed and the Hall House birthday celebrations are postponed.

• Rowan County Tea Party is canceling the March 24 meeting. Watch for future announcements and see Rowan Tea Party Patriots Facebook page.

• Mocksville Habitat House dedication is cancelled that was scheduled for March 29.

• Salisbury Planning Board and Board of Adjustment  meeting March 24 has been canceled.

• Rowan County Parks & Rec Therapeutic Recreation Events:

•    Club Rec Tuesday, Club Rec Friday, Ramblers, Trips: Canceled through April 14

•    Shakers Dance for March: Canceled

•    32nd Annual VIP Miniature Golf Tournament: Canceled

•    Special Olympics: All events canceled through May 31 including Summer Games

Salisbury/Rowan Senior Games & SilverArts Events:

•    SilverArts Art Show and Extravaganza: Postponed until a future date TBD

•    Senior Games Opening Day & Field Events: Postponed until a future date TBD

•    Senior Games Bowling (Singles): Postponed until a future date TBD

•    Senior Games Miniature Golf: Postponed until a future date TBD

•    Senior Games Croquet: Postponed until a future date TBD
