66th Annual Rowan Museum Antiques Show

From Nov. 8-10 fine antiques dealers from across the Southeast converge on Salisbury for three days, selling the finest in furniture, linens, laces, estate jewelry, china, paintings, silver, porcelain, crystal, pottery, unique collections and vintage books and prints.

Tailgate BBQ Party held at F&M Trolley Barn, 165 E. Liberty St. to support the patients and families in our community benefitting from the hospice care of Trellis Supportive Care.
Tailgate Party tickets are $10 each.
There will be live music by Shiloh Hill (see pg 12C), BBQ by The Smoke Pit and local beverages from New Sarum, Morgan Ridge Railwalk and Cheerwine.

Save The Date: Panel discussion on Women’s Suffrage
5:30 p.m. Nov 14
The Salisbury Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is meeting next Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 204 E. Innes St. Enter from the rear parking lot.
The presentation will be a panel discussion on the topic of “100 Years of Women’s Suffrage.” The discussants will be M.J. Simms-Maddox, P. Jane Splawn, and Tamara Sheffield.
Dr. Simms-Maddox is professor of political science and chair of the Department of History and Political Science at Livingstone College. Dr. Splawn is professor of English in the Division of Liberal Arts and Humanities at Livingstone College. Tamara Sheffield serves on the Salisbury City Council and is a senior key account manager at Frito-Lay.
The discussion will be moderated by AAUW member Teresa Rowell, coordinator for the Association for Evolutionary Economics.
Light refreshments. Free and open to the general public.
