Rockwell funeral home will offer its ‘Veterans Appreciation Day’ lunch April 18
ROCKWELL — Powles Staton Funeral Home will hold its Veterans Appreciation Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18.
The funeral home is at 913 W. Main St. in Rockwell.
The day will offer military veterans a free lunch and chance to register for door prizes.
As always, the funeral home encourages anyone to bring a worn American flag to donate to its “Retire Your Flag With Honor” program. It provides that flags be burned with veterans during cremations.
The funeral home also is accepting new and unwrapped toys for its Operation Toy Soldier” which supports military families at Christmas.
