Trinity Living Center will host a nutrition and wellness program called The Next 56 Days in January.

The first session on Jan. 8 is free.

Instructor and coach Robin Scharding will lead the course, which is designed to help people lose weight, lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation and regulate blood sugar levels.

Many people in the program have been able to stop taking medications at their doctor’s recommendation.

The class will cover how to incorporate healthy, nutritious foods for a lifestyle change even kids like; how to prepare and cook healthy food; how to read labels; and how to eat out “56 style.”

During the eight-week course, participants will build a reference cookbook together and sample foods.

The cost of the course is $129.99. FSA or HSA benefits may be used to pay for the class, depending on your company’s requirements.

Call or text Scharding at 704-796-0177 if you have questions or to reserve a spot for the free session Jan. 8.

Registration and assessments will begin at 6 p.m., and the class will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Trinity Living Center is at 1416 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.
