Letter: Shorten the season

Extension of the baseball season into late October and possibly early November is totally ridiculous. The World Series used to be in early October, but the greed of Major Leage Baseball owners, league officials and ballplayers created a longer season with too many playoff rounds. Either the regular season or the number of playoff rounds needs to be shortened.
