Rowan Chamber to brief members about Tuscany trip

SALISBURY — The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce will present information about its 2019 trip to Tuscany on Sept. 18.

Representatives of Aventura World will brief the public about the March trip and answer questions.

The briefing is at 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Gateway Building, 204 E. Innes St.

The Tuscany trip is scheduled March 12-20 and is offered through Aventura World. Any Rowan Chamber member travel agent can book the trip for anyone who wants to go.

“Tuscany is a breathtaking part of the world with friendly people, beautiful scenery, first-class hotels and fantastic food and wine,” said Elaine Spalding, the chamber president.

The trip will include an eight-day, seven-night air and land package from Charlotte to Mantecatini, Italy, first-class hotel accommodations for seven nights, and 10 meals.

Participants will also get the opportunity to take part in:

• A full-day guided tour of Florence.

• A full-day excursion to Pisa and Lucca, including the Leaning Tower, Duomo and the Baptistery.

• A full-day tour of Siena.

• A full-day excursion to San Gimignano and the Chianti region including wine tasting.

An optional Rome extension tour is available.

The early-bird price is $2,699 for chamber members if reservations are made by Oct. 26. For nonmembers and out-of-area participants, the cost is $2,999 per person.
