Letter: That’s a lot of food to Stamp Out Hunger
Thank you to everyone who helped make our 26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive successful.
We collected more than 24,500 pounds of food for Rowan Helping Ministries, the Salvation Army and the China Grove Main Street Mission.
Thats to the city and rural letter carriers, clerks, maintenance and supervisors whose support means so much to us.
Thanks to Jackie Harris and the United Way; Food Lion for bags, trailer and recycling by store No. 416; and the Salisbury Post, especially Andie Foley and Jon Lakey. Thanks also to the churches and local groups who posted the food drive on signs and bulletins ,and to all our on-air and online supporters.
Thanks to the volunteers who toiled in 98-degree heat to sort and distribute donations. You rock!
Thanks to everyone who donated goods to help the needy among us. You are a blessing.
