On March 2, the Rowan County Cooperative Extension Center will host an Auxin training from 9-10:30 a.m.

The training will be at the Agriculture Center, 2727 Old Concord Road.

The EPA recently revised labels for dicamba products registered for application to Xtend soybean and XtendFlex cotton. One of many new requirements is mandatory training for all applicators prior to use in 2018. Even if you attended the training in 2017 you still need to attend one of the trainings in 2018.

You can visit the site listed below to see all of the training locations in case you can’t make it to the one in Rowan. There will be 1.5 hours of recertification pesticide credit in categories N, O, D and X. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by calling 704-216-8970. http://www.ncagr.gov/SPCAP/pesticides/auxin.htm

Don’t forget that Rowan County Extension is having a plant sale. Products available are bunch grapes, blueberry plants, blackberry plants, muscadine grapes and figs. Cost is $10 each. The due date to order is March 1. You may pick up your plants Thursday, March 8, at the Agriculture Center, 2727 Old Concord Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

You can make checks payable to CES or bring the exact amount in cash. To order, call the Rowan County Extension office at 704-216-8970 or visit http://go.ncsu.edu/2018springplantsale
