SALISBURY — Thieves broke into three local restaurants earlier this week, taking money, a computer and liquor.

Salisbury Police Department officials said the thefts occurred between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The thieves broke into Casa Grande, 905 Klumac Road; Monterrey Mexican Restaurant, 119 N. Link Ave.; and Romano’s Italian Cuisine, 1510 W. Innes St.

The thieves forced their way into the buildings, breaking glass front doors and windows. In each incident, they tried to take money from the cash registers. In two cases, the registers were empty, but it’s possible that money was taken from Romano’s.

The suspect took a computer from Casa Grande and three bottles of liquor from Monterrey.

Police officials say they believe the three break-ins are connected since the methods used to get inside the restaurants were similar.
