SALISBURY — Social media images of another woman with her boyfriend led a Salisbury woman to kidnap and bite him, police say.

The Salisbury Police Department charged Lindsay Nicole Clay, 31, of the 2100 block of Chantilly Lane with simple assault and second-degree felony kidnapping.

Police say Clay argued with her 27-year-old boyfriend after seeing the images. She held him against his will and bit him as the two got into a physical exchange. She told police that the two had fought and had blood on her, a police report said.

About the same time, the boyfriend contacted police to show them a video he had recorded on his cellphone.

The video showed Clay chasing him, refusing to allow him to leave the Chantilly Lane home, and biting him. He told police she confronted him after seeing some images of him and another woman on Snapchat.

Clay was held in the Rowan County Detention Center without bond because of the domestic nature of the case. She has since been released.
