Blotter: Man reports being assaulted while walking in neighborhood

SALISBURY — A man told Salisbury police that he was walking in his neighborhood just before 6 p.m. Sunday when he saw three men trespassing on his property.

The man told officers that the three men yelled expletives at him. One of them approached him and punched him in the jaw, and they all turned and ran away, he said.

He said that about the same time, he heard gunshots in the area.

No other details were provided. A report said he had no visible injuries.

• A woman reported an assault Sunday in the 1000 block of Crane Creek Road.

• A woman reported a break-in Sunday in the 300 block of Ackert Avenue.

• A woman reported Sunday that someone took items from her vehicle in the 200 block of Freedom Drive.

• A man reported a stolen television Sunday in the 100 block of West 11th Street.

• A man reported a stolen moped Sunday in the 700 block of Park Avenue.

• A man reported a stolen moped Sunday in the 1500 block of West Horah Street.

• A man reported an attempted break-in Sunday in the 200 block of Claymont Drive.

• A woman reported vandalism Sunday in the 800 block of North Church Street.

• Shaniqua Monique Land, 26, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 700 block of Partee Street.

• Jamarion D. Williams, 25, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault on a female in the 1200 block of West Monroe Street.

• Bil’lizah Judea Connor, 16, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury in the 500 block of North Ellis Street.

• Dominic Gene Moracco, 61, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor assault on a minor in the 800 block of South Ellis Street.

• Ignacio Sanchez-Rosales, 28, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor assault on a female by male over 18 in the 1000 block of Crane Creek Road.

• Brittney Masha Rice, 27, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 100 block of Edzell Drive.

• A woman reported Thursday her bank account had an unauthorized charge of $171.76 to Sprint in the 200 block of Prospect Trail.

• A man reported Thursday items were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of Elizabeth Avenue.

• A woman reported a stolen push lawn mower Thursday in the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive.

• A man reported a larceny Thursday in the 600 block of Blue Heron Road.

• Novant Health Rowan Medical Center reported a larceny.

• A man reported an attempted burglary Thursday in the 600 block of Bradshaw Road, Mount Ulla.

• A woman reported a larceny Thursday from her home in the 100 block of Bee Tree Lane.

• Taylor Wayne Britt, 22, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon in the 600 block of West Ritchie Road.

• Harley Dustin Mosher, 30, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 1700 block of Flat Rock Road, China Grove.

• Andrew Lewis Hower, 20, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 2800 block of Grace Church Road.
