SALISBURY — A retail center on East Innes Street has sold for $757,500 after attracting 30 online bids, according to Ten-X Commercial.

Called The Shoppes at Innes Street, the center is at 1301 E. Innes St. Anchored by T-Mobile and FedEx Office, the 7,000-square-foot retail strip was built in 2007.

Evan Koransky, a senior director at Ten-X, said the sale closed Friday through Ten-X Commercial (formerly Auction.com) in conjunction with brokers John Varol and Molly Morgan with the Providence Group, based in Charlotte.

The bidding topped out at $757,500, which was well over the reserve price, after receiving 30 bids and 13 fully approved bidders during the auction, Koransky said.

The winning bidder was a private individual from New Jersey who outbid a Charlotte investor, he said.

The property’s tax value is listed on the Rowan County Register of Deeds website at $897,919. It was purchased in 2009 by a Mebane group, Dancing Weasels LLC.
