Education Briefs: Summer camp explores herpetology

Summer camp opportunity

Dan Nicholas Park Nature Center is looking for 10 herpetology enthusiasts for a four-day summer camp in June.

The camp will include catching and collecting data on snakes, box turtles, aquatic turtles and lizards. The camp will be led by Mike Lambert, a naturalist at the park’s nature center.

The camp is free. A maximum of 10 students will be accepted from rising ninth- through 12th-graders.

The dates are June 19-22. It will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
