Area fire departments are currently working the scene of a three-alarm blaze that broke out in an unoccupied building among several on Thermoid Way in Salisbury.

The call reportedly came in at 7:15 a.m. after a passerby observed the building on fire.

Reports from the scene indicate that the right side of building is completely destroyed but no one has been injured. Firefighters are rotating out.

Three alarm initiates call back for all available and almost every department in Rowan is there.

Salisbury Fire Chief Bob Parnell said it is too early to determine a cause.

Duke Energy is reportedly on scene to address any possible downed wires.

This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
