Local Bridge with Myrnie McLaughlin

Carol Bachl: Newest Life Master

Congratulations Carol for attaining your goal. She and her favorite partner, Judy Gealy, have been working hard, with Judy close to achieving her goal.

For those of you still chasing points and are bitten by the “duplicate bug” there are three tournaments coming up in the area. Close to home are two Sectional tournaments. The Greenville, SC one runs from April 28-30–th and our area favorite, Morganton, runs May 5t-7. For full information on these games, log on to www.ACBL.org

Winning the April 7 Evergreen game: N/S 1st Pat Macon and Judy Hurder, 2nd Rachel Herman and Pat Featherston, 3rd Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh; E/W 1st Margaret and Chuck Rimer, 2nd Beth Shafer and Betty Bills, 3rd BettyBonner Steele and Patty King. There was no April 14 game.

Since we have gone totally to the BridgeMate scoring system, it is almost impossible to accurately choose a board to feature. The printout only shows a score with no information as to the suit and direction the cards were played. Please excuse the mistakes in suit and direction played.

Featured is board# 15 from the April 7 game N/S vulnerable South dealer
