Once again it’s time for us to hold our Rowan-Salisbury Silver Arts Duplicate Bridge competition. Trinity Oaks is our gracious host for that game Monday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. at their facility. We have a good group signed up and we’re looking forward to it.

There are more special games scheduled at our regular games. Friday, Feb. 1 Evergreen will hold a Club Championship game and on Tuesday, Feb. 21 the Women’s Club will also hold a club championship game. These games award higher master points for those chasing their dream of Life Master. Put them on your calendars.

And yet another big event is coming to Salisbury soon. We will be hosting the Dogwood Tournament, a yearly ACBL Sectional Tournament, the weekend of March 17, 18 and 19 at Rufty-Holmes Senior Center. Many players come from out of town for the event and our club members are always pitching in for the event. Get ready to play a lot of bridge.

At Evergreen on Friday, Jan. 27 we had a large crowd. Winning were: N/S 1st Marie Pugh and Ruth Bowles, 2nd Andra Cozart and Jan Glover, 3rd Fern Albracht and Ron Jeffers; E/W 1st Carol and Harold Winecoff, 2nd Betty Bills and BettyBonner Steele, 3rd Shirley Jeffers and Patsy Reynolds.
