Early voting ends at 1 p.m. today

The last day for early voting is today.

All but one polling location closed Friday at 6:30 p.m. As a result, the only polling location open today will be the Rowan County Board of Elections office, located at 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. W., the former Salisbury Mall. The Board of Elections office opens for early voting at 8 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m.

The Board of Elections office in West End Plaza sits in suite D10, which is adjacent to Badcock Furniture. Voters enter the polling location from the parking lot.

Today will be the last in which people can register and vote on the same day. Same day registration will not be allowed on Tuesday, election day.

Elections on the ballot range from president of the United States to soil and water conservation district supervisor.

For questions about voting, contact the Rowan County Board of Elections at 704-216-8140.
