Mammogram appointments are still available Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as The Delta Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. joins with Novant Health Breast Center and First Calvary Baptist Church (Missionary Unit 6),  to take action against breast cancer.

The mammogram screening until will be at First Calvary Baptist, 432 S. Long St.

Pre-registration is required by contacting Marva McCain at 704-640-0087 or Earnestine Krider at 704-637-7183 and completing an application. Appointments are first come, first served; applications must be completed.

The mammogram is offered to those with Medicaid, Medicare, insurance or no insurance. All ladies must be at least 35 years of age to participate.
