NCWorks Career Center-Cabarrus celebrating anniversary with information sessions

CONCORD — The NCWorks Career Center-Cabarrus will be celebrating its one-year anniversary with an event for Cabarrus County job seekers and local partners.

The career center, at 845 Church St. N. Suite 201, will be hosting sessions to give the public information about training providers and the services they offer through an event called G.R.E.A.T., Getting Reacclimated, Educated and Trained.

The sessions will go on from Oct. 17 to Oct. 21 at the career center at 10 a.m.

Sessions will be available for those interested in attending community college or truck driving school, starting a career in nursing or finding employment with a criminal background.

Schedule for the week:

  • Oct. 17 — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and College Foundation (financial aid)
  • Oct. 18 — Southern College of Health & Sciences (CNA)
  • Oct. 20 — Charlotte Truck Driving School CDL
  • Oct. 21 — Re-entry Roundtable, featuring Project Re-entry
