Leo Smith Jr. planted bananas about 4 years ago. The leaves died at the first frost. He covered it and it started growing back around March. He planted it to help with water around the foundation of his house. The plants are now about 20 feet tall. It does not produce bananas. He uses cow manure compost and a secret compost tea brew.
