SALISBURY — Salisbury Police have made a second arrest in the murder of Lacynda Diane Feimster, who was shot and killed inside her Crown Point Apartment in May in a robbery and home invasion.

Feimster, 38, was a longtime waitress at O’Charley’s restaurant in Salisbury and the mother of four children. She was shot, and her mother, Mary Gregory, was hit in the face with a handgun.

Police charged Daniel Real Albarran, 31, of Leonard Road on Thursday with murder. Police said little about Albarran’s arrest.

Sindy Lina Abbitt, 33, of Salisbury, was charged with murder and assault in June after turning herself in. Both are being held without bond.

Police were called to the apartment complex, located off Gold Hill Road in the Morlan Park neighborhood, regarding a home invasion and robbery. When authorities arrived, they found Feimster already dead.

Police have said the crime was not random and that Feimster and Abbitt knew each other. Police did not provide details as to the connection between Albarran and the victim or Abbitt and Albarran.

Friends and family recently held a balloon release and tribute to Feimster at O’Charley’s where she worked. Employees dedicated a plaque to Feimster and shared their memories of her.

A message requesting comment sent to Feimster’s daughter, JaQuela Green, was not immediately returned.
