Chamber Trade Show to celebrate National Small Business Week

SALISBURY – National Small Business Week will be celebrated at the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce “Cinco de Mayo” Trade Show from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at West End Plaza, 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. W.

Title sponsors are the Salisbury Post and Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

“The chamber conducts the Annual Trade Show during National Small Business Week to celebrate our small business members. We encourage everyone to buy local; for every dollar that you spend locally, 63 cents stays in the community,” said Elaine Spalding, president of the Rowan Chamber.

Trade Show schedule:

2 p.m. – Ribbon cutting to open exhibit hall to the public

3:30 p.m. – Mascot dance competition

5 p.m. – Meet the candidates & Business After Hours Mixer

  • Business networking (bring plenty of business cards for door prizes)
  • Meet the candidates for Congressional District 13
  • Complimentary Mexican food in honor of Cinco de Mayo
  • Cash bar for beer/wine

7 p.m. – Adjourn

The Trade Show is the chamber’s largest networking event. It is a business-to-business expo with business connections made every year. Several of the booths will offer door prizes in addition to the grand prize at the end of the evening.
