Man robbed while on pizza run

A man was robbed at gunpoint after getting pizza Tuesday, Salisbury Police report.

The victim reported that Tuesday evening at 9:15 p.m. he was walking back to his hotel room after getting dinner at Pizza Hut on East Innes Street when he heard the sound of a gun slide behind him.

He told police he turned around and saw a man waving a gun. The alleged robber told him not to try anything and to put everything he had down on the ground, but the victim told police that at first he ignored the robber and kept walking.

A moment later, the robber ran up and allegedly put the gun to the victim’s head, telling him to get on his knees. According to the report, he searched the victim’s pockets and took his wallet and cell phone.

The suspect is an African-American male between 20 and 25 years old. He was said to be wearing jeans, black baseball shoes, a dark gray puff vest, a dark jacket, a black hoodie and a black baseball cap.
